Perfect for beginners or those looking to revisit the fundamentals, each 60-minute session offers a balanced combination of foundational postures, gentle stretches, breathwork, mindfulness, and relaxation practices.
In this small-group setting, you'll receive personalised attention as you build strength, improve flexibility, and cultivate a sense of calm and connection. Each class is thoughtfully structured to guide you step-by-step, helping you feel confident and comfortable in your practice while embracing the tools to support a balanced and healthier life.
No prior experience is necessary—just bring a yoga mat, an open mind, and the desire to start the new year with self-care and growth. Spaces are limited to ensure individual attention, so book your spot today.

Traditionally, asana (yoga postures) were designed to prepare the body and mind for meditation. Our Deepen your yoga practice through conscious connection to prana—the life force within. This four-week series explores the subtle body through breath-led movement, accessible pranayama, and mindful sequencing. Each class builds toward a peak pose that supports energetic awareness, helping you feel the flow of prana through the body. Designed for experienced beginners, this series offers a powerful foundation in subtle practices that awaken vitality, balance energy, and invite inner stillness.

Cost:
4 week sequence: $68 (book via the button below)
10 class pass: $150 (for any 10 classes, do not have to be consecutive - please contact me directly to book)

Active Living Classes

Part of the Cairns Council's FREE program with three beautiful locations to choose from

All outdoor classes for Cairns Council's Active Living Program run from February to December and are FREE - no need to book, turn up and BYO yoga mat or towel. Open to everyone. You will need to be able to get up and down from the ground.

Benefits of Yoga

PHYSICAL

build muscle and bone strength; agility and mobility of the joints; lengthen muscle and connective tissue to enhance flexibility; tone the core and postural muscles, overcoming habits from too much computer work or sitting.  

PHYSIOLOGICAL

balance out hormones by activating into glands; enhance digestive function;  certain postures have a cleansing effect on the blood and organs; breath techniques assist in improved lung capacity and waste removal; switch out of stress mode and into the parasympathetic nervous system - the rest and digest mode, allowing the nervous system to refresh.  

MENTAL

yoga is a mindful moving meditation. Breath techniques form the foundation of practice, bringing our awareness into the present moment and assists in calming the mind. Meditation and guided relaxation will guide you into profound states of inner stillness and peace.  

SPIRITUAL

yoga is about looking inward and finding out who you really are. The practices slowly strip away the layers to uncover our True Nature at the heart centre - described as SAT CHIT ANANDA - truth wisdom bliss.
